Respected Labor Team Joins Schuyler, Roche & Crisham
CHICAGO, IL - May 22, 2012 - Schuyler, Roche & Crisham, P.C. (www.srcattorneys.com) announced this week that its Labor and Employment practice group has expanded with the arrival of four highly regarded attorneys including James P. Daley (shareholder and board member), David M. Novak (partner), Edward M. Graham (partner) and James D. Thomas (associate), all formerly of K&L Gates.
"Schuyler, Roche & Crisham, one of the region's strongest midsize firms, affords us the opportunity to provide our clients with an in-depth full-service legal environment in a more cost effective manner, something of real importance to our public and private clientele," said Daley. "This was the right time for us and our clients to make this move, and we couldn’t be happier with our new home and tremendous colleagues at Schuyler Roche."
The group brings to Schuyler Roche extensive experience representing management in all aspects of negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements, grievance arbitration, interest arbitration and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and comparable state agencies. They advise employers on a comprehensive range of labor and employment matters including strikes, picketing, lockouts, bargaining positions and strategies, drafting contract language, responding to organizational campaigns, strategies for averting work stoppages, decisions to reduce staff, close facilities, relocate operations, subcontract work and other major operational changes, personnel policies and practices and employee manuals. Their work also includes State and Federal anti-discrimination, pension, wage and hour, and common law employment matters, and they represent employers in both unionized and non-unionized settings.
"I've known Jim Daley for more than 30 years; he has the respect of clients and peers throughout the country as a top-notch labor attorney," said Mike Roche, a shareholder with Schuyler, Roche & Crisham and head of the firm’s business litigation practice. "Bringing a group of attorneys the likes of Daley, Novak, Graham and Thomas to Schuyler Roche not only strengthens our labor and employment practice, but also raises the firm's profile and reputation throughout the public and private sector."
