Brendan McGarry brings a unique professional background to his Commodities and Securities' clients at Schuyler, Roche & Crisham, having spent 15 years with two different commodities brokerage companies, serving as legal counsel and also servicing institutional clearing firms at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and CME Group, Inc. That hands-on, trading floor experience in commodities and institutional sales provided Brendan with a deep understanding of commodities trading and the many legal issues facing those immersed within. When the business of commodities trading shifted from trading floor to a more electronic-based platform, his professional passions began shifting as well, back to his familial roots in the practice of law. Brendan enrolled in Chicago's DePaul University College of Law, from which he would graduate Cum Laude.
Brendan joined Schuyler Roche in 2012 as an associate in the firm's Commodities and Securities Law and Litigation practice. As he puts it, "Few firms have expertise in Commodities Law to the extent of Schuyler Roche, and with its industry leadership, collegial atmosphere and entrepreneurial spirit, it seemed like a natural fit for my background in commodities brokerage and regulatory law."
